Sofia Stavropoulou was born in Athens and she is a Dr of Music Studies from the Department of Music Studies (UΟΑ) . She is also a graduate of the intradepartmental postgraduate program: Music Culture and Communication (UOA). She holds diplomas in Byzantine Music, piano and Music Theory. Her thesis is related to the amelioration of children's singing voice and real time visual feedback software. She works as a music teacher in public schools and she is also a trainer in public training institutes in the fields of Music Technology and Pre-school education. Since 2021, she is a postdoc researcher, and she works in ASMA programme (Αssistance for singing and Music Aesthetics-ΕLIDEK) at the department of Music Studies (UOA) under the supervision of Anastasia Georgaki, professor and president of the Department.
